Lukman is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team at Suryomurcito & Co, a Rouse network firm handling all activities reserved for Indonesian lawyers.
With over 11 years of experience guiding multinationals and domestic companies through a wide range of intellectual property matters, Lukman has brought a wealth of expertise to Rouse Indonesia since joining in 2021.
His practice focuses on diverse IP cases, specializing in trademark, copyright, and patent disputes. His comprehensive approach extends beyond enforcement options. He also navigates clients through negotiations, ensuring they achieve the most favorable, efficient, and effective resolutions.
Lukman's expertise includes providing strategic guidance on various IP litigation matters, including trademark cancellation and deletion, Standard Essential Patent (SEP) infringements, trademark infringement lawsuits, and Geographical Indication lawsuits. He also represents clients in pursuing criminal complaint routes and liaising with law enforcement agencies.
Furthermore, Lukman advises clients on IP commercialization, encompassing expertise in licensing and franchising agreements. He assists with drafting and reviewing agreements, conducting regulatory compliance checks, IP licensing and assignment recordings at the IP Office, STPW (Franchise License) applications, franchise agreements, and offering prospectus reviews. Lukman has also established himself as a prominent moderator and speaker at various IP capacity-building events.
His practice further extends to advertising and media law, where he provides clients with valuable advice on their advertising concepts from an Indonesian legal perspective.
